Meet Jim Rhoades-Baldwin, CFI, CFII, MEI, Owner

Jim Rhoades-Baldwin is the owner, Chief Pilot, and Chief Flight Instructor of Centerline Aviation Services LLC, an award-winning flight school serving the greater Charlotte and Lake Norman communities from Lincoln County Airport.

Jim earned his first pilot certificate in 1981 and brings more than four decades of aviation experience to his students. His professional flying background includes King Airs, Turbo Commanders, and Westwinds. As a CFI, CFII, and MEI, he provides training from private pilot through instrument, commercial, multi-engine, and flight-instructor certification, along with specialized transition training.

Under Jim’s leadership, Centerline Air was named a 2026 AOPA Distinguished Flight School and a 2026 Best of North Carolina Regional Award winner, recognizing the school’s quality instruction, modern aircraft, advanced simulators, and commitment to safe, confident pilots.

For Jim, Centerline Air is more than a flight school—it is a community where students are supported, accomplishments are celebrated, and a lifelong passion for aviation can take flight.

Meet Monty Visser, CFI, CFII, MEI

In 1999, what began as a thoughtful gift of a Discovery Flight turned into a passion of dedication. After achieving the goal of a private pilot certificate in 2000, the bar was raised by attending PanAm International Flight Academy in 2001 for a full year while taking a break from ‘the day job’ to complete all advanced ratings.

In 2002, Monty began teaching fulltime for a flight school at Chesterfield County airport (KFCI) in Virginia. After a year of full-time flight instruction, was ‘strongly encouraged’ (lol) to go back to the “day job” however still do flight instruction part-time. This continued for the next 22 years at KFCI before moving to Lincoln County, NC.

Now officially retired from the ‘day job’, Monty joins Chief Flight Instructor Jim Rhoades-Baldwin as a master flight instructor. Monty also for the last 11 years has been a FAAsafety Representative and is designated as a ‘WingsPro’ who assists pilots as they take part in the FAAsafety flight curriculum.

Meet Steve Boudreau, ATP, CFII, MEI

Steve earned his private pilot certificate in 1989, just before deploying in support of Desert Shield and Desert Storm. A few years later, in 1995, he became both a multiengine instructor and a flight instructor, and added his instrument instructor rating in 1996. After retiring from the Air Force

in 2007, Steve transitioned to the airlines, where he works today—still passionate about aviation and enjoying flight instructing whenever he’s not flying for the airline.

Meet Ryan Morrison, CFI, CFII

Ryan first fell in love with aviation sitting in the cockpit of his uncle's F-15E as a 5-year-old boy. 24 years later he began pilot training and now brings that same curiosity and enthusiasm to his teaching.

He is a proud and (very) passionate West Virginia University alumnus and loves to cook, especially barbecue. He is an avid golfer and enjoys spending his free time with his wife and newborn daughter.

Meet Tayan Kolacki, CFI, CFII

Before flying airplanes, Tayan spent over a decade flying through the air as a competitive gymnast. She has been involved in the sport for more than 15 years, now serving as both a coach and judge--experiences that shaped her discipline, attention to detail, and passion for teaching. That same love for precision and performance eventually led her to aviation.

After taking a discovery flight at age 17, Tayan was hooked. She earned a bachelor's degree in Data Science from UNC Charlotte with a 4.0 GPA and completed her flight training at Centerline Air, where she is now proud to be part of the instructional team. Tayan is passionate about delivering high-quality, safety-focused instruction. She looks forward to inspiring future pilots while pursuing her own goal of becoming an airline pilot.

Meet Devin Ham, CFI, CFII

Devin Ham is a dedicated first generation pilot whose passion for aviation was sparked at 19 by his father, a USAF loadmaster. He began his training at a local flight school in New Jersey before moving to Charlotte where he earned both his Commercial Single Engine Land (CSEL) and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificates. Devin’s mission as a flight instructor is to inspire and guide new aviators with the same drive and encouragement his father instilled in him.

Beyond aviation, Devin is deeply committed to service and leadership. He volunteers as a coach and serves as a youth group leader at his church where he mentors and supports young people in building confidence, discipline, and purpose. Whether in the cockpit or the community, Devin brings energy, integrity, and dedication to helping others reach their potential.

Meet Josh Ramer, CFI, CFII, MEI

Before finding his path in aviation, Josh spent most of his life primarily as an ice hockey player and musician, but as far back as he can remember, he has always been fascinated with both the experience and mechanisms of flight. After college, he worked as an aerospace engineer designing Pratt & Whitney military engines, but after a few years, he decided to pursue a career in aviation where he discovered his true love for flying.

As a captain for his college hockey team and, later, an engineering design lead, Josh found his passion for teaching and believes his technical background can help lend unique insights into the world of aviation. Outside of flying, Josh spends much of his time dedicated to a life of learning, enjoying the outdoors, racing his car, and being a father.

Meet Dillon Davis, CFI, CFII

Dillon Davis is a Certified Flight Instructor and USC Alumnus whose love for flying began in Charleston, SC in 2021. In addition to instructing, he works as a member of the line crew, supporting aircraft maintenance and daily operations at Centerline.

His prior experience in law enforcement and automotive service management fosters a disciplined, safety-oriented learning environment where students thrive. Dillon’s teaching focuses on practical application, sound aeronautical decision-making, and cultivating pilots with a lifelong passion for aviation. Dillon’s hobbies include mountaineering, kayak fishing and competitive dragon boating.

Meet Christopher Hager, CFI, CFII

Christopher is proud to have done all his flight training with Centerline Air and is excited to share his passion for aviation. He is happily married to his wife, Christina, whom he met while taking part in community theater with her. He's a proud cat dad to Goose and loves Disney.

Meet Kyle Morien, CFI, CFII, MEI

Growing up with a Navy pilot for a father, aviation was always an interest of Kyle's, though he did not initially expect it to become his career. He graduated from Shenandoah University with degrees in Exercise Science and Mathematics while competing as an NCAA lacrosse player. After college, he spent four and a half years with Penske Truck Leasing before deciding to pursue aviation professionally.

He moved to Charlotte in 2024 to attend ATP Flight School and, in under eight months, completed his Private, Instrument, Commercial, CFI, Commercial Multi-Engine, CFII, and MEI checkrides on his first attempt. He began instructing in February 2025.

He currently holds Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor certificates with single- and multi-engine land and instrument airplane ratings, as well as complex and high-performance endorsements. He has instructed private, instrument, commercial, CFI, CFII, and multi-engine students.

Kyle's goal as an instructor goes beyond helping students pass a checkride. He focuses on developing safe, confident, and competent pilots with strong aeronautical decision-making skills, adapting his teaching style to each student’s individual goals.

Outside of aviation, he is an avid cyclist who competes in road and gravel races and enjoys following college football, especially Notre Dame.

Meet Tammy Rhoades-Baldwin, Admin

Tammy Rhoades-Baldwin is the friendly voice and organizational backbone of Centerline Aviation Services LLC. She manages day-to-day operations, client communication, scheduling support, billing, and the company website—ensuring that every student and renter who contacts Centerline Air has a smooth, welcoming experience from the very first interaction.

Tammy’s commitment to clarity, professionalism, and exceptional customer care helps create the supportive and student-centered environment that Centerline Air is known for. Her work ensures that instructors and students have what they need, when they need it—allowing the flight school to operate with reliability and transparency,

Tammy received her degrees in classical ballet. She also enjoys writing, oil painting, making wire wrapped jewelry, and selling Mary Kay.

Meet Rick Dorr, A&P, IA

Rick maintains all the aircraft in our fleet. He performs required inspections and maintenance, and handles everyday issues as they arise.
