Meet Our Professional Staff

All of us are here to help you

Our team is dedicated to provide the best possible service and meet your aviation needs.

Meet Jim Rhoades-Baldwin, CFI, CFII, MEI

Jim earned hi first certificate in 1981, Jim's early aviation career included corporate flying in King Air, Westwind, and Turbo Commanders.  Jim is a Mooney transition instructor, CFII/MEI, and is qualified to teach initial CFI and MEI.

Jim founded Centerline Aviation to share his years of real world experience with new and experienced pilots.

Meet Monty Visser, CFI, CFII

In 1999, what began as a thoughtful gift of a Discovery Flight turned into a passion of dedication. After achieving the goal of a private pilot certificate in 2000, the bar was raised by attending PanAm International Flight Academy in 2001 for a full year while taking a break from ‘the day job’ to complete all advanced ratings. In 2002, Monty began teaching fulltime for a flight school at Chesterfield County airport (KFCI) in Virginia. After a year of full-time flight instruction, was ‘strongly encouraged’ (lol) to go back to the “day job” however still do flight instruction part-time. This continued for the next 22 years at KFCI before moving to Lincoln County, NC. Now officially retired from the ‘day job’, Monty joins Chief Flight Instructor Jim Rhoades-Baldwin as a master flight instructor. Monty also for the last 11 years has been a FAAsafety Representative and is designated as a ‘WingsPro’ who assists pilots as they take part in the FAAsafety flight curriculum.

Meet Riley Davidson, CFI, CFII

Riley is a passionate aviation professional and future airline pilot with flying experience in the complex Southern California environment. From early days as a student pilot to becoming a flight instructor, she has safely navigated the airspace surrounding San Diego. She has a strong history of passing check rides and stage checks in the American Airlines Cadet Academy at Coast Flight Training and is a proud alumni and holder of the American FFA Degree in the Future Farmers of America.

Meet Dalton Sanderlin, CFI, CFII

Dalton began flying at a young age with his dad. He officially began flight training in 2021. Dalton’s favorite flying memory is doing aerobatics over the mountains in a Super Chipmunk. His favorite thing to teach is Private Pilot. In his spare time, Dalton enjoys snowboarding, woodworking, and riding rollercoasters.

Meet Michael Baker, CFI, CFII

Michael Baker is a Certified Flight Instructor with a passion for aviation that began after graduating from the Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte. He works on the Enroute Team at ForeFlight, focusing on commercial and military flight planning solutions. His experience includes flying the Cessna Caravan in jump operations, giving him hands-on knowledge of turboprop aircraft and mission-specific flying. He is dedicated to instructing and helping pilots develop the skills they need for safe and efficient operations. Outside of aviation, Michael is committed to his faith and values time with his family.

Meet Archy Beauge, CFI, CFII

Archy Beauge is a flight instructor and future airline pilot with experience flying in complex airspace. Trained through the American Airlines Cadet Academy at Coast Flight Training, he’s known for his focus on safety, precision, and helping others succeed in aviation. Archy’s committed to guiding the next generation of pilots while building his own career in the skies.

Meet Derek Mars, CFI, CFII, MEI

While attending Appalachian State University, Derek spent most of his winters at the ski mountain teaching advance snowboarding and terrain park for the next generation of aspiring X-games athletes. After years of being a jack of all trades, Derek found his spot as a pilot.

Throughout pilot training, his love for aviation was cemented with the constant challenge to perform at a higher level in an ever-changing environment and Derek intends to bring that same joy to his students.

Meet Ryan Morrison, CFI, CFII

Ryan first fell in love with aviation sitting in the cockpit of his uncle's F-15E as a 5-year-old boy. 24 years later he began pilot training and now brings that same curiosity and enthusiasm to his teaching.

He is a proud and (very) passionate West Virginia University alumnus and loves to cook, especially barbecue. He is an avid golfer and enjoys spending his free time with his wife and newborn daughter.

Meet Tayan Kolacki, CFI

Before flying airplanes, Tayan spent over a decade flying through the air as a competitive gymnast. She has been involved in the sport for more than 15 years, now serving as both a coach and judge--experiences that shaped her discipline, attention to detail, and passion for teaching. That same love for precision and performance eventually led her to aviation.

After taking a discovery flight at age 17, Tayan was hooked. She earned a bachelor's degree in Data Science from UNC Charlotte with a 4.0 GPA and completed her flight training at Centerline Air, where she is now proud to be part of the instructional team. Tayan is passionate about delivering high-quality, safety-focused instruction. She looks forward to inspiring future pilots while pursuing her own goal of becoming an airline pilot.

Meet Devin Ham, CFI

Devin Ham is a dedicated first generation pilot whose passion for aviation was sparked at 19 by his father, a USAF loadmaster. He began his training at a local flight school in New Jersey before moving to Charlotte where he earned both his Commercial Single Engine Land (CSEL) and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificates. Devin’s mission as a flight instructor is to inspire and guide new aviators with the same drive and encouragement his father instilled in him.

Beyond aviation, Devin is deeply committed to service and leadership. He volunteers as a coach and serves as a youth group leader at his church where he mentors and supports young people in building confidence, discipline, and purpose. Whether in the cockpit or the community, Devin brings energy, integrity, and dedication to helping others reach their potential.

Meet Josh Ramer, CFI, CFII, MEI

Before finding his path in aviation, Josh spent most of his life primarily as an ice hockey player and musician, but as far back as he can remember, he has always been fascinated with both the experience and mechanisms of flight. After college, he worked as an aerospace engineer designing Pratt & Whitney military engines, but after a few years, he decided to pursue a career in aviation where he discovered his true love for flying.

As a captain for his college hockey team and, later, an engineering design lead, Josh found his passion for teaching and believes his technical background can help lend unique insights into the world of aviation. Outside of flying, Josh spends much of his time dedicated to a life of learning, enjoying the outdoors, racing his car, and being a father.
